My name is Ricky McLamb. I have been in child care for 15 1/2 years. I was born in Clinton, North Carolina. I am child number 12 of 13. I have 5 sisters and 7 brothers. Most of my family is in education. I enjoy working with children and seeing the progress they make over the school year.
I live with my fiance, Ferali, and my dog, Leia. I have three children, two girls, 29, 27, and a son, who is 24. I also have a 10 year old granddaughter. Most people call me Mr. Red, which is my nickname. I enjoy watching sports, reading, cooking, playing video games, and cleaning house.
I got my Associate Degree from Wake Technical Community College in Early Childhood Education and my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I will be going back in the Spring of 2017 to get my BK Licensure from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
I am glad to be here to support you and your child. I hope that we will have a great year. I am so excited to have the opportunity to be part of your child's educational life. I hope that we can all grow together in this school year.
A note from Ms. J...
Mr. Red officially joined our class on Monday. Some of you have gotten a chance to meet him at drop off, pick up, or today at the cookies and milk event. He is a treasure and already loved by all the kids. We are going to have a great year and we are very fortunate to have him as a part of our classroom.
