The fabulous 5s are so excited to have our new fine motor enrichment group, "Busy Fingers!" Every Friday Ms. Jenn is coming in with a box full of activities for the kids to play and experiment with to supplement their OT time and fine motor activities in the classroom! Thank you Ms. Jenn, we are loving it!
Although we have been missing our sweet babies today, Ms. Bass and I have been having such a good time preparing the classroom for October. We hope to see you around at some of our fieldtrips or Fall party, but just in case here is a sneak peak at what your little ones will be busy doing next month! Hello Fabulous 5s followers! We have had a busy and exciting week here at FLS...I have got so many pictures and new things I cannot possibly cover them all this week. The kiddos are doing wonderful! They truly are the "seniors" of the school and their years of experience in the 3s and 4s have really paid off. This week we began many new activities including music, language group, movement, and busy fingers (our new fine motor group). I couldn't cover all of our electives this week (unless you guys want to be reading until next week-haha)...so I'll keep language and fine motor group as a surprise to come in the future. Enjoy the pictures below and see some hi-lites from this week. Also something else to be looking out for in the near future is some of the 5s art posted here on the web. Those of you that do not know Ms. Bass very well may not realize what a creative person she is. Not only does she come up with stellar art projects but she does an awesome job at incorporating fine motor goals at the same time. As a result, we do more collaborative work with peer groups as well as art projects that take multiple days. So do not be worried that your child is missing art in the 5s because it isn't coming home each day...much is displayed in the class and it will come home as new things go up :) They are very proud of what they have done so far and keeping it up in the classroom not only encourages positive self-esteem but gives us great talking points as well. So lots of surprises to come and fun pictures to enjoy today! The captions below will tell you a little more about each activity. Enjoy! Thanks Ms. Jose! You are a WONDERFUL movement teacher! We love going to visit you on Tuesdays! Ms. Paula, thanks for all the wonderful music lessons! You will forever be one of our FAVORITES! In between all this fun in electives we still found plenty of time to learn and play in our classroom. Check out the gallery of pics below! C-ya next week!
WOW! What a fun and busy first week of school. We welcomed back 4 of our kiddos from last year and welcomed 6 new loves from the 4 year old class! I am so excited about this little bunch of angels. We have 6 boys and 4 girls and a WHOLE LOT OF ENERGY! Each week I will be posting some hi-lites from our past week. I will not feature every child every single week but you will see a little of everyone and a little of everything if you check out the blog regularly. As you may guess I am not always able to capture all the fun parts of our school day so I welcome any pictures/anecdotes any of you may see as a volunteer/parent in my class. Feel free to just send it to my email [email protected]. Please enjoy some of our "moments" from this week :) J |
