We are priviledged this semester to welcome a new student teacher from Meredith College. As part of her internship she will be working daily in the classroom and also updating the blog weekly. Beginning next week she will be doing the blog posts and you may have already heard your kids talking about Ms. Schley as she was a volunteer last semester and already been with us since the holiday. Below is a picture of Ms. Schley to put a face with the name and a biography she has written to help you get to know her a little better :)
"Schley Diane Chase is the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Algernon Chase both ministers and she is the proud mother of a daughter, Kennedi Chase Pendarvis. Schley was born and raised in Suitland, Maryland where she received all of her early learning. At an early age Schley was gifted to sing the gospel and has been a blessing to many with her amazing gift of song. After high school graduation Schley continued to sing and travel in various venues. Schley traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe singing. Presently Schley is pursuing a degree in early childhood education at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC where she also studied Music Education. Schley’s love for children and desire to help develop their success is first and foremost to her. At present she also is student teaching at the Frankie Lemmon School. Schley’s love for people of all ages are displayed openly by her genuine gift of love."
