This week Ms. Dawn and Ms. Hanvey double teamed for a special activity. They came into the classroom and helped us carve our pumpkin. The children used the device to choose what shaped eyes, nose, and mouth they wanted their pumpkin to have. Ms. Dawn let everyone play and explore with the gooey inside and use tongs to pull the seeds out. Then we made "sensory" bags for children to explore that were not excited about using their hand to explore the pumpkin guts (can't say I blame them). Below you can see all the different steps of the kids working together to make the jack-o-lantern. It was a super fun activity. Also pictured below you will see our therapy dog Rosie came in for a quick visit. She wanted us to all see her trick or treating outfit! She even made it into a magazine!
