One of my favorite things about being in the Limes classroom is to see all the love our friends share! Almost every morning, I am greeted by sweet smiles and hugs and the children greet each other that way as well. This week we had a chance to celebrate the kindness in our classroom on Valentine’s Day when friends brought in little treats to share. We have missed our friends who have been out sick and we wish you well!

This has been a fun week so far! Since it is the month of Valentine's, Ms. J set up a mailbox for the children to send letters to their friends! One of my lessons this week included a taste test, where the children could sample salty chips, sweet marshmallows, and sour lemons. The children who wanted to participate did a great job describing what they tasted- I was very impressed!
It's been a great week so far! Everyone has been working really hard! We sure have missed Willow and hope she feels better soon!
It has been quite a busy, but fun week so far here in the Limes classroom. I completed my first lesson of the semester, which was inspired by Harper's idea in the block center. She built a house and then "huffed and puffed" and blew the house down. During morning meeting, I read the story of the Three Little Pigs and the children took turns being the "big bad wolf" and blew the houses down. -Alex
Hi again and Happy New Year! I just want to reintroduce myself as I will be back at FLS this semester for student teaching. I will be with the Fabulous Fives every morning and I look forward to all the smiling faces when I greet them in the classroom. I have had such a wonderful time working with all the children so far and I can’t wait to make more special memories. If you have any questions, please let me know- I will be happy to answer them! --Alex
What do you do when you have 4 kids having a birhtday in the same week? You have a big classroom celebration! What do you do when Christmas is the SAME month? Santa comes to school! Unfortunately I wasn't able to capture everyone in a photo since we had the yucky stomach bug going around. But everyone got to participate in the fun of gingerbread houses, making stockings, etc. throughout the month! Here are some pictures of our birthday kiddos and kids that got to visit with Santa! Today was a family school partnership day at Frankie Lemmon. The children and their parents were invited to come and make gingerbread houses with their kids. Each child received an already put together house, premixed icing, candies, and communication boards. It was a sticky and fun filled time for all! As you can see from the pictures below that each family was very created and the children really enjoyed doing this project with their parents. It was a nice finish to our week and ties in nicely with our gingerbread theme we have for next week! Can you believe next week we will celebrate Thanksgiving?! Where has the time gone! Time flies when you are having fun! Check out the fun in the pics below of the Fabulous 5s! |
